Postpartum Support

Postpartum care has been mainly forgotten in modern society, however it is a crucial time for recovery and healing.

I follow traditional postpartum care practices that place the mother at the center. Nourishing the mother so she can nourish her newborn. Rest as a principle and warmth as a key element for healing. I focus on nutrition, use of herbal medicine, bodywork, baths, steams, while providing breastfeeding support, newborn care, meals, house chores including grocery shopping and light housekeeping so mothers and their homes are well taken for. The early postpartum time is called Cuarentena (40 days) in Latin America, and it’s also 40 days (6 weeks) in India and China.

Packages of 6 and 12 sessions include:

  • One complimentary interview

  • One prenatal session to prepare a postpartum plan around 36 weeks of pregnancy

  • Min 5 hrs per session, potentially including a closing of the bones ceremony at the end of the early postpartum time
